The first page of this book says "The goal of Fluid Concepts is to assist in the development of fluid, productive "thinking" skills, that are essential for advanced mathematics, science, and engineering. Notation is used as a teaching device, rather than for secrecy or obstacle. Part of the introduction is devoted to the Notation. This introduction contains sample problems, with solutions for the first 9 pages. The aim of this study was to determine the accuracy of both transvaginal and transperineal ultrasound in measuring the round ligament (RL) in nulliparous patients. Between March 2014 and January 2015, 100 nulliparous women from the obstetric outpatient department were enrolled in the study. The RL length was measured during transperineal ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound in a dorsal position. The RL lengths were compared between the two positions. In addition, the measurements of the RLs obtained in transvaginal ultrasound were compared to those obtained in transperineal ultrasound. The mean length of the RL measured by transperineal ultrasound was 0.89 ± 0.09 (0.87-0.92) cm, whereas the mean length of RLs measured by transvaginal ultrasound was 0.90 ± 0.09 (0.88-0.92) cm (P = 0.858). The lengths of the RLs obtained by transvaginal ultrasound and by transperineal ultrasound were in agreement with each other (P = 0.741). This is the first study comparing the accuracy of both transvaginal ultrasound and transperineal ultrasound in measuring the RL 570a42141b
